Description

I’m writing this description months after we did this hike. This was the last big one that I did last year. It took us 3 hours to get there. Even though it doesn’t look far, you have a long way to go off the highway which adds a lot of time.

Once there, we weren’t dissapointed!
The whole start of the trail is very easy and you are walking along a path where there are plenty of pieces of art that the local children built. Some are awesome, some creepy as hell!

After you get in the woods, the trails are well identified, beautifully maintained and vary  a lot in difficulty. There is a place where the lady at the start told us to take going up and not down because you are scaling rocks (with solid ropes attached to them for balance). This was probably along the Téméraire trail/Intrépide trail.

The summit

If you’ve been researching about this hike, everybody will tell you that this is one of the most beautiful summits they saw… I’m one of those people! As you are hiking up there are many breathtaking viewpoints but once you get to the rocky summit, there are some places with 360° viewpoints! What can you ask for more.

The only thing that bothered me was the two school buses full of children that were on the summit at the same time. Needless to say, we did not take the same trail down!

Camping at the summit – Future project

At the epic summit, you can reserve a camping ground for the night. Which such a view, I can’t wait to watch the sun go down.

The place is far but so worth it!

Trail down

We took the Button trail to go down which was of intermediate difficulty with beautiful gazebos and benches to rest and contemplate.

Even though there were two school buses on the same mountain as us, there were some times where we would stop and enjoy the eerie silence.

In the end, it was all worth it!

Happy Hiking!
