This park is for hikers wanting a nice easy hike in a beautiful environment.
The Waterfall Trail
There is a short hike along the rapids to finally end at the waterfall. You will find many boards with historical information about the park.
The rapids and waterfall were used to move tree trunks, destined for the paper industry, which is a very popular cause of death for trees in Quebec.
Most of the Waterfall trail is on bridges and stairs, making this trail accessible to almost all hikers. Once you get to the main waterfall, there are some dangerous wet rocks that are not on the hiking trail but that are accessible and great for pictures.
If you are not the daredevil type, you can simply sit at the piknik table at the belvedère below the falls.
If you really love the falls and want to spend the night there, you can rent a refuge next to the falls.
The Waterfalls are 18m (60 ft) high. Don’t jump!

The Belvédère Trail
This trail is mainly in the woods. A moderate hike considering that there is a little elevation. Along this hike, you will find panels describing the different trees from the forest. The hike up to the belvedère goes by quickly considering that you are spending all of your time trying to identify trees.
Once you get there, there is a little platform with a piknik table next to a refuge… oh and lets not forget the view!
If you are in this park and you like intense viewpoints, you have to go up to this one. It’s sublime.
If you are really into it, you can rent the refuge for the night and watch the sun go down on your porch above the valley!

The Other Trails
We didn’t manage to do the other trails since the bugs had come out at this point and were driving us crazy. Since there is a central convergence point in the park, where the parking is, we decided to head home and nurse our bites
